Footwear, Designed with Direction
I design footwear with storytelling at its core – creating shoes that are visually compelling for their performance-driven features, and cultural connection. From early alignment through final design handoff, I lead the design phase with clarity and unwavering creativity. My process minimizes guesswork, reduces costly revisions, and ensures design intent survives real-world development. I help brands turn ideas into resolved, relatable products that are production-ready.

Check out the new show MADE TO LAST on YouTube. Duane Lawrence and Omar Bailey share sneaker stories from a combined 45 years of experience in the footwear industry. Special guests include designers, athletes and marketing executives who have all had a hand in shaping the footwear industry. Hear their stories on how they’ve managed to last in the shoe game, what it takes to launch a successful brand and even go inside of factories abroad. This show is a little less “what are those?” and a little more “how did you make it?” Tune in every week for new discussions.
Red Dot Award
Winning a Red Dot Award was a meaningful moment in my design journey and something I’m genuinely grateful for. It’s an honor to have work recognized by an international jury of respected designers, especially among so many thoughtful projects from around the world. More than the award itself, it affirmed the value of a patient, intentional approach to design—one rooted in clarity, purpose, and care for the details. I see it not as a destination, but as encouragement to keep pushing the work forward with the same level of focus and respect for the craft.
ANTA JuicyFlex is a walking shoe designed for toddlers aged 10 to 18 months. During this stage, children’s feet change rapidly in shape, making it difficult for traditional footwear to maintain a proper fit over time. JuicyFlex proposes a dual-layer shoe construction that adapts to changes in foot length and width.

Press
My work has been recognized and discussed across a range of sports, design, and culture publications over the years. I’ve been interviewed by CNN Philippines on the design of Klay Thompson’s signature shoe, featured by Now Viz for my work with Gordon Hayward, and highlighted by ESPN Magazine in 2006 for my early design work with Dwyane Wade. The Press page brings these stories together, offering a broader look at the ideas, context, and moments that have shaped the work.
